Hello, I am Somin!

I am an Applied Scientist at Qualtrics. Previously, I was a CS Ph.D. candidate at Northeastern University, advised by Byron Wallace and Silvio Amir.

I’m broadly interested in natural language processing and related topics including training, inference, in-context learning, knowledge distillation, and evaluation. Most of my work has been in NLP and structured information extraction via distillation. In the past, I have breifly worked at IBM Research and Amazon.
